Investing in Our Children & Youth

An after-school program free for students K-12 of families living at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AIM). Focused on reading development, the children and youth programming also includes homework assistance, reading and math tutoring, and individualized lesson plans in partnership with the student’s teachers and counselors, S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) projects, daily devotionals, crafts, and recreation. Students receive an afternoon meal from the Kid’s Cafe of FTV.

Summer Academy is a full-day summer program free for students K-12 of families living at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AIM). Programming includes reading and math activities, social skills, field trips, vacation bible school, arts & crafts, recreation, field trips, and community service activities. Students receive three (3) meals each day plus snacks.

These programs provide a safe, and encouraging place for students to be with other children their age while moving forward to academic success.

Volunteer with MPA

Mathew’s Promise Academy has a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to connect with their work.

Please Note: To volunteer for Mathews Promise Academy, you must:

  • Individuals must be at least 18 years old, pass a criminal background check and drug screening, and complete the online Safe Sanctuaries training.

  • Students in school or with a church group are allowed to volunteer when accompanied by an approved adult.
